Shape Magazine Officially Endorses a Keratosis Pilaris Cream

Recently Shape Magazine published a great review along with their endorsement of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Needless to say, we were quite surprised, as many magazines won’t officially endorse any beauty products, especially when it comes to health care related products. What’s more, it’s really rare to see a magazine address keratosis pilaris in any way, as most people have no idea what it is. So it’s even more strange to have them endorse a product that may treat KP effectively.

Dr. Oz Keratosis Pilaris Treatment CreamWhile we haven’t done any tests or trials on this product yet, but we are planning to add it to the list of products that we will have some of our randomly selected readers test out for us.

Aside from keratosis pilaris this cream is also sold as being able to treat other skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. This cream has also been featured to some degree on the Dr. Oz show, although we couldn’t find any videos of this online (we were hoping to watch it and post it here). We could only find a video about First Aid Beauty’s Detox Eye Roller:

The cream is marketed as being free of parabens and chemicals, non greasy and won’t clog up your pores. It’s sold to treat a myriad of skin problems and claimed to be a very effective moisturizer and skin hydrator, and some of it’s listed ingredients are colloidal oatmeal, shea butter, and eucalyptus oil. Here’s a video of the “style director” of Shape Magazine talking about the Detox Eye Roller on the Tyra Banks Show:

So the question is – Does this company (First Aid Beauty) just make such great products that Shape Magazine loves them, or is there something else going on? Look out for our readers’ review of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream in the near future.

Recently, an all natural treatment for keratosis pilaris has been getting a lot of national media attention. Many people are attributing their being KP free to this new system, which uses commonly available ingredients that can be bought at any grocery store. You can learn more about it here.
